I have been beset with the task of repairing a pull start for a 1963 McCullough chain saw.
This is all I got to repair, no saw, no model or serial number.
I sourced the part on eBay, after communicating with an authority on McCullough saws in New York state

This was the only place that I could find the item in question, subject to a roughly 10 day waiting period for delivery.
It should arrive today, and I will be installing the spring and returning the assembled item to my client.
My next project is to replace the centrifugal clutch shoes on an older pocket chopper.
Once again my friends, parts source on eBay
This part should arrive by August 28th. I will update my progress as it happens.
I will be posting more of my undertakings in the near future, as they happen.
